EDINBURGH TO NORTH BERWICK 20 MILE ROAD RACE

Lothian Running Club female veteran member Mags Turnbull picked up a trophy at the weekend running in the Edinburgh to North Berwick Road Race.
Mags finished in 3rd place in female over-50 category covering the 20 mile course from Portobello Promenade in 3 hours 4 minutes 9 seconds which also placed her 146th in the overall classification.
A trio of the club’s male members were also in action with Stephen Malcolm first to arrive in North Berwick in 2 hours 32 minutes 53 seconds which placed him 72nd of the 178 finishers.
Following him home were 165th Stuart Bird [3h 12m 08s] and 169th Matt Austin [3h 21m 51s].
Former Lothian RC member Ross Milne who now runs for Corstorphine AC was the overall race winner in 1h 53m 39s.
