LANA’S 50TH PARKRUN

Lana celebrates her landmark appearance.
members this weeks Falkirk Parkrun was a celebration of Lana Turnbull’s 50th outing at Parkrun events.
To mark the occassion 25 runners from the club turned up in glorious weather for the 5k race in Callendar Park.
Lana made her Parkrun debut in Edinburgh on the 28th November 2009, since then and nearly 150 miles later she has contested 29 races in Edinburgh, 19 in Falkirk and one apiece at Glasgow and Aberdeen.
Her best ever time was set in Edinburgh at 19.45, while her Falkirk PB stands at 21 seconds dead.
She has been the winner of her age-group[15-19] category on numerous occassions.
For the record today’s race saw Lana finish 26th overall, 5th female overall and 2nd in F15-19 class.
