ACTION FROM 3 PARKRUNS

In ideal conditions Lothuian Running Club members were out and about at the Parkruns in Falkirk, Edinburgh and Aberdeen on Saturday morning.
FALKIRK
A trio of females represented the club at Falkirk with a couple of them setting new PB’s for the 5k course within Callendar Park.
Christine Milne finished 34th overall and 5th female in a time of 22 minutes 48 seconds which was about a minute ans a half quivker than her previous best time.
Also setting new figures was Marsie Ewing who came home in 24 minutes 24 seconds to place 57th and 10th female. Val Finch missed out on making it a trio of PB’s coming in in 137th place and 48th female in 34 minutes 58 seconds.

EDINBURGH
Another three runners from the club contested the Edinburgh event which saw two of them claim category wins. Scott Balfour crossed the finish line in 26th place overall and 1st in the MV 60-64 category in 19 minutes 45 seconds, next in was Jill Horsburgh who placed 92nd overall, 10th female overall and runner-up in the F 50-54 classification sopping the clock at 22 minutes 32 seconds.
Ian Leggett claimed the victory in the MV 70-74 age-group with his time of 23 minutes 14 seconds placing him 113th overall. 274 runners completed.

ABERDEEN
Lana Turnbull and her father Mike broke new ground in making their debuts in the Aberdeen Parkrun which takes place along the promenade.
Lana produced a fine run to finish 9th overall and 2nd female in 20 minutes 57 seconds with Mike coming in in 72nd place in 32 minutes 33 seconds.
