NATIONAL JUNIOR LEAGUE PB’S FOR CLUB DUO

Lothian Running Club duo Craig McDowall and Max McNeil both set new PB’s while representing the composite Forth Valley team in Sunday’s National Junior League Nothern Premier League match in Manchester.
Running in the 800 metres ‘A’ race Craig recorded a time of 1 minute 55.8 seconds in finishing in third place bettering his previous best of 1:56.04.

Max shaved just over 3 seconds off his previous best for the 3000 metres, running in the ‘A’ race he clocked a time of 9 minutes 19.3 seconds which placed him 5th. Later in the afternoon the Lothian runner recorded a second PB this time in the 2000 metres Steeplechase ‘A’ race, this is not an event that Max is accustomed to running, however in the Junior League you tend to fill-in in events to help your team gain points, and Max’s time for the steeplechase of 6 minutes 51.0 seconds was around 18 seconds quicker than he recorded at a previous league meeting.
