Round Arran Relays

If you are interested in doing the above race please let me know. If there is enough interest we will hire a minibus and camp overnight on the Saturday. It is possible to get there and back in a day-the race starts at approx. 12 o’clock. All legs are run at the same time i.e. not as a true relay. The race is on Saturday 23rd July so we leave Livingston at 7am for the ferry from Ardrossan, usually returning by about 7.30pm the following day. Let me know if you are interested.

Stage 1 North Blackwaterfoot to Pirnmill 11.5 miles Flat, mostly follows coast
Stage 2 North Pirnmill to Bogullie Car Park 10.5 miles “Worst” leg of all, mostly uphill
Stage 3 North Bogullie to Brodick 10 miles Mostly downhill, then flat
Stage 1 South Blackwaterfoot to Kilmory 7.5 miles Nice leg, undulating, fab views
Stage 2 South Kilmory to Whiting Bay 8.5 miles Couple of uphills early on, then downhill
Stage 3 South Whiting Bay to Brodick 8.5 miles Very long uphill on this leg, then downhill!
Please let me know if you wish to run, if you have a preference as to which leg and whether or not you would like to use the minibus and camp. If camping, we usually have dinner in a local pub and communally buy all breakfast food etc.
