SECOND PLACE FOR SARAH IN FINAL EVENT

Sarah Inglis just failed to make it three wins out of three at the Isle of Man Easter Athletics Festival.

Sarah who had already triumphed in Friday nights 10k and Saturday afternoons Peel Hill Race had to settle for second place in Sunday mornings 5k along the Douglas Promenade.

Sarah covered the out and back course in 17 minutes 52.3 seconds, victory went to Emma Raven, Leeds 17 minutes 14.1 seconds.

With the final overall placings over the three days still to be confirmed Sarah however. with 2 wins and a second looks certain to be crowned the overall women’s winner and can look forward to Sunday nite’s Presentation of prizes when a prize-pot of £4000 will be shared amongst all the individual and team winners.
