RUNNER-UP SPOT FOR BRIAN AT COLLEGE 5K

A handful of Lothian Running club members contested the West Lothian College Livingston 5k Road Race on Wednesday evening[26th May].

Brian Turner led the club contingent home in second place in 16 minutes 48 seconds, he was followed in in 6th and 7th by David Berrill 19:09 and John Malcolm 19:46.

David and Carol Mabon completed the Lothian finishers with David 11th amd 2nd MV50 in 21:25 and Carol 29th and 2nd FV50 28:29.

The male race winner was Neil Tenant Edinburgh AC 16:03 with Yvonne Crilley Livingston first female 20:33.

The past two Thursday evenings Neal Drummond has been the club’s only runner in the opening two events of the Polaroid Eyewear 10k series.

A week past Thursday Neal completed the Helensburgh course in 67 minutes 48 seconds however this week at Clydebank he bettered that time by 11 mins 45 seconds in finishing in 56:02.
