DEBUTS BUT NO PB’S AT THIS WEEKS PARKRUN

Half a dozen Lothian Running Club members contested the Edinburgh Parkrun on Saturday [8th May].

Kenton Jones who was making his race debut was the first club runner home covering the 5k along the windy waterfront in 19 minutes 47 seconds which placed him in 20th place.

Kenton was followed home by Saran Jones in 43rd place overall and 5th female, Saran’s time of 21:35 was 8 seconds outside her PB for the course.

Less than a minute behind in 22:41 was Jill Horsburgh who was 54th overall and 7th female.
Club vet Ted Finch was 90th in 25:45.

The final two club runners were Juniors Sam Jones and Alice Horsburgh, Sam who was making his race debut was 97th in 26:29 with Alice three places further back in 100th in 26:37.

A total of 144 runners contested this weeks race.
