CATEGORY WIN FOR MIXED TEAM AT COMRIE RELAYS

Lothian Running Club fielded two teams at Sunday’s Simon Wake Comrie Hill Relays in Perthshire.
The race is a 42k relay race with 2,110m of ascent, run in 4 stages for teams of 5 runners. The highly scenic course starts and finishes in Comrie village, and follows a route up and around the hills surrounding Glen Lednock.
Legs 2 [7k/400m] and 3[12.6k/712m] cover rough mountain terrain, while Legs 1[11k/527m] and 4[10k/370m],although challenging, are closer to trail races and are fully marked.
The clubs mixed team of three males and two females finished 9th overall but victors in the mixed team category.
Leg one Brian Reid [61 minutes 31 seconds], leg two Saran Jones and Jill Horsburgh [55:30], leg three Ian Donnan [61:18], leg four Ally Robertson 41:45] total 3 hours 40 minutes 03 seconds].
The club B team was all females and they finished 24th overall and 3rd female team.
