BUSY WEEKEND AS THAW CONTINUES

As the thaw continues a busier weekend is in prospect both indoors and outdoors, there is however a couple of events postponed.
The indoor season gets underway at the Kelvin Hall over the weekend with the Under-15 and Under-17 Closed Championships as well as the Scottish Regional Championships with events taking place both Saturday and Sunday.
There should be a fair representation from the club at the third and final match in the East District XC League at Broxburn, where, due to the underfoot conditions there may have to be a slight alteration to the course.
On Saturday the weekly Edinburgh and Glasgow 5k parkruns go ahead at their usual 9.30 start times while further North there is the Lumphanan Detox 10k race.
A number of Scottish athletes will be in action in Wales on Sunday with meeting three of the McCain UK Cross-Challenge taking place in Cardiff
A couple of events that won’t be happening is the Veteran’s Road Relays, the races which were due to take place at Strathclyde Park have been re-scheduled for the 24th January.
The Jack Crawford 10k Springburn Cup at Bishopbriggs has also fallen victim to the weather and has been postponed until February 27th.
